Employment:
Green Fern Events, LLC has a position opening for a part-time event coordinator to help with planning, marketing and production of a clean energy conference scheduled for February 13-17, 2011. Candidate must be available to travel to Washington, DC over these dates. Term of employment will be from September 2010 through February 2011. 10-20 hrs per week. Flexible work schedule although prefer Tues/Wed or Tues/Thurs. Must have car or transportation to home office off Bee Caves Rd. (Bus line #30). Approximately 10-15 minutes from downtown.
Job Responsibilities: Help with planning, marketing, and development of annual clean energy conference to be held in Washington, DC area in February 2011. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Event coordination
- Event marketing & outreach
- Speaker coordination & management
- Drafting RFP for Audio Visual needs
- Catering
- Schedule of Events
- Sponsor invitations and solicitations
- Coordination of side events
- Travel arrangements for VIP guests and staff
- Hotel & logistics planning
- Volunteer Coordination
- Temporary Staff Coordination
Qualifications:
- Experience planning a meeting or event for 200 people or more
- Background in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business Development, Event Planning and/or Sustainable Business
- Prefer senior in undergrad, recent college grad, or MBA student
- Positive “go-getter” attitude
- Self Starter - ability to work with little supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for sustainability and growth of clean energy technology
Pay: Hourly rate based on experience.

As a subcontractor of Green Fern Events, any event we are hired to help plan, promote, or produce, you will be paid a percentage of profit.
